EnerStar Electric Cooperative is celebrating 85 years of serving our local communities and is eagerly preparing for the co-op's Annual Meeting of Members on Saturday, June 1, at Paris High School in Paris. The annual meeting is a unique cooperative event that provides a special opportunity for the co-op to engage directly with its members.
As is tradition, the member breakfast will be served from 7:30 a.m., when the doors open, until 9:00 a.m. in the school cafeteria. Roosters and Rumps, from Marshall, IL, will cater breakfast. The business meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the Paris Center of Fine Arts at the school complex.
The EnerStar Board Chairman, Dan Gard of West Union, will preside over the meeting. After addressing routine business, Secretary-Treasurer Greg Robinson of Marshall will present the 2023 Treasurer's Report, and EnerStar CEO Dave Clinton will provide a cooperative update. Cooperative attorney Rob Anderson will announce the results of the director elections, which were conducted by mail and included all active members. Additionally, members attending the annual meeting will review and vote on two proposed bylaw changes.
All meeting attendees will receive a $25 bill credit, and some lucky individuals will receive a bill credit of up to $250.
Detailed information about the annual meeting is available HERE. Members can also contact the co-op office at 1-800-635-4145 with questions or directions.
